I am Abigail Moody, an artist who never felt like I could create the same type of art day-in and day-out. After years of trying to confine myself to one medium, one style, even one ground type, I discovered that I was truly free when I followed the moody muse I was born with. Now I embrace that art is ever-changing and share the reflected creations.

I create layered paintings with traditional media, digital collages, and illustrations with both traditional and digital elements.  There are two main things I gain inspiration from:

1. Humans in their daily lives

​

I love capturing the simple, boring moments of life because, in reality, those are the things that make up a majority of the human experience. The simple embraces with loved beings, a bite or a sip of your favorite morsel, a desk with writing pens that you use on a daily--so much of our life is made up of moments and instances we blink passed. I try to bring to highlight these instead, and show how wonderful our messy, human experience is. 

 

 2. Nature

 

I hold a B.S. in Biology and have worked in the science education realm for years. I love bringing forth my passion of the amazing organisms we have on this planet through my paintings and illustrations, as I believe it helps instill further appreciation of them in myself and in others. ​​​
